WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

Pope’s Message for World Mission Sunday 2025
Pray: May the compassion, kindness and faith of missionaries be a sign of God’s love for all people. Together with them, may we be messengers and builders of hope, sure in the knowledge that God’s goodness will always prevail.
Give: On World Mission Sunday, please give what you can to help missionaries respond to the physical and spiritual needs of our sisters and brothers who are experiencing terrible poverty, violence and injustice.

In today’s Gospel (Luke 13:10-17), Jesus challenges us to think about the balance between honouring the structures and traditions of religion, and responding to the need that we see around us. How can I keep balance between making time for prayer and renewal, and living out compassion?

Sometimes the problems of our world seem insurmountable. However, today’s Gospel reminds us that God’s healing power is beyond our comprehension. Think of a situation or an event that seems hopeless, and, sure in the hope that God’s goodness will always prevail, pray for St Jude’s intercession.
