Leave a lasting legacy of faith
‘I am so grateful to our Church for helping me find real purpose to my life. I would like to help lay those foundations for the future. A gift in my Will to Missio is the perfect way to do that, and to ensure others in the future may also find their way home to God.’
Paul, Newport (Legacy Donor)
Writing a Will is a very personal thing. It allows us to provide for our loved ones, our friends and family, and to continue to support the causes we have been passionate about during our lifetime. It can also be the time when we consider our own personal legacy; the impact for good our life has made and how we might be remembered by future generations.
One out of every four people helped by Missio today is funded by legacy donations.Â
By supporting Missio with a gift in your Will today, you are making a vital contribution to the Church’s mission of hope around the world. Click here to download Missio’s Legacy Booklet.
As Missio commits to the highest levels of accountability, you can trust that your legacy of a better future for those members of our global Catholic family who are poor and in need will be realised. Through Missio, your generosity will continue to train Priests and Sisters, bring hope to the world’s poorest children, and help young churches to grow and flourish in the developing world.
Missio’s work is funded entirely through the generosity of Catholics like you. Today more than ever, we depend on that support to ensure the gift of faith is passed on to future generations.

Form of words
If you wish to remember Missio in your Will, you can leave a ‘residuary bequest’ (a percentage of your estate or the remainder of your estate once all your bequests have been made and the cost of winding up your affairs has been met) a ‘pecuniary bequest’ (a fixed sum of money), or a specific gift (like shares or property). Many of our supporters prefer to leave a Residuary gift as they retain their value over time in a way that a cash gift may not.
If you are going to remember Missio in your Will please use the following wording:
‘I give the sum of £……. (or specify percentage of estate) to Missio (23 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1NU, Registered Charity Number 1056651); and I declare that the receipt of the National Director or other proper officer of the said Missio for the time being shall be full and sufficient discharge to my Executors.’
You will be remembered in prayer
The names of all our Legacy donors are included in our Books of Remembrance and, every November, we celebrate Mass in remembrance of, and thanksgiving for, the generous benefactors who have left a gift to Missio in their Will.
‘For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also’
