Missio is committed to caring for disadvantaged and vulnerable children throughout the world. In 2024, with your support, Mill Hill Missionary – Fr Léon – continued to work with the local community in Fundong to protect children and young people from the destructive impact of the ongoing Cameroonian conflict.
Fr Léon’s mission is to create an environment where children not only receive an education, but also grow in confidence, values and faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
And thanks to your prayers and donations, they have been able to construct new classrooms; offering displaced children a safe space to learn, grow and find hope through their faith.
He says:
‘We are so thankful to Missio and Mill Hill supporters. You wipe away the tears of many and bring joy to countless lives. May God inspire you to help establish a more just and compassionate world.’

Nurturing young missionaries in England & Wales
As the children’s branch of Missio, Mission Together’s aim in England and Wales is two-fold: to support essential children’s projects in places of poverty and turmoil, and to support the mission of Catholic education through the creation of free catechetical, liturgical and prayer resources for primary schools.
Nurturing faith and building God’s kingdom is an essential element of Mission Together’s work. All our school resources aim to help children play an active part in God’s global family; working in solidarity for the benefit of all, but with a special concern for those living in poverty.
Children helping children
In addition to our free resources, Mission Together volunteers also visit schools to promote understanding of God’s global family and to encourage pupils to be ‘children helping children’ through sharing and prayer.

Thanks to our school supporters and volunteers, thousands of pounds are raised each year to help fund Missio’s overseas children’s projects – such as our work with children in Cameroon.
